Don’t you think giving a Valentine’s day card to your boyfriend or girlfriend is kind of lame?
Honestly, as a girlfriend I would rather receive anything but a card. Even if I got a gift from my bf, I wouldn’t want it to come with a v-day card, because it just seems cheesy, cliche and …I don’t know. A card. A Valentine’s day card. It just makes me cringe…thoughts??
So should I get him a card? He wouldn’t think it was lame or stupid? I’ve been debating for a while.

Nah, I like cards, and would rather get a card I can keep than some silly stuffed animal I’ll feel obligated to display. I think generally that the whole holiday is kind of lame – I think a card is an appropriate gift, and that anything more than that is a bit ostentatious.
Edited to add: a card is a completely appropriate gift for a guy for Valentine’s Day. Make sure to write a personal note in it – I think he’ll really appreciate it! The only other thing I would think of is maybe a personalized CD of songs that he likes or that are meaningful to you both. That would be kind of cool, and very personal. Good luck!

i think a card is nice depending on the kind of persn he is, i got my bf a card last valentines day and the words the card had described our relation ship perfectly plus i wrote a lot more, it was very thoughtful loving and meaning full, he put it in his room nex to my picture and to this day its still there.. a card could say a lot if u take the time to read and find the right one
