How do I get my youtube page background to fit on all screen resolutions?
I’ve had a custom background on my youtube page for a while, but I recently got a new PC which had a different screen resolution and I noticed my youtube background was hidden under the text and stuff.
How do I get it so my background stays the same for people on different computers with different screen resolutions? Is there a way?
Thanks.

Computers have many different resolutions, so
the “dimensions” of YouTube backgrounds are
actually variable. Thus, even if you knew those
dimensions, it doesn’t mean that your channel
will appear properly on other people’s monitors.
I’ve seen dozens of “customized” backgrounds
totally “out of whack” or mis-aligned in relation
to their own channel boxes/modules.
The only thing you can really do is set up your
background or template according to your own
resolution, and hope that most people who will
see your channel have the exact same screen
specifications as yours.
Thus, find your screen resolution, then expand
or shrink your image such that it matches — or
at equals — the WIDTH of your display monitor.
To properly determine the exact dimensions of
your screen resolution, simply do the following:
— click the “start” logo
— click “Control Panel”
— doubleclick “Display”
— click “Settings” (tab)
Most screens have either a 16:10 “ratio” or 4:3,
depending on whether it’s a lap-top or desk-top.
If it’s at 16:10, your common choices would be:
960×600, 1024×640, 1152×720, 1200×750, 1280×800, 1400x_875 or 1600×1000.
If your computer screen is 4:3, the choices are:
960×720, 1024×768, 1152×864, 1200×900, 1280×960, 1400×1050 or 1600×1200.
Of course, for a YouTube background, you can
make the depth whatever you wish.

For YouTube, it’s kind of hard to get it absolutely right for every monitor. Monitor sizes could have a huge impact on the way it’s displayed.
