Would it be rude if I gave one of Jehovah’s Witnesses a Valentines Card?
They attend public school but I don’t know much about their family or how strict their beliefs are. Should I give them a card or would that be disrespectful?
P.S. I know it isn’t Valentines Day for at least three months!

you should ask before you even think about just giving them one…. i ahve a friend who is jehovas witness but her family isnt very strict so she can celebrate holidays, but before i began giving her stuff, i asked just to make sure it wouldnt be disrespectful…

I personally do not think you should ask. My step-sis is a Jehovah’s Witness and she does not mind getting cards…but if I were to ask her if she wanted them she would HAVE to say ‘no’ since that’s what she has been taught and believes. People have to learn to respect everyones beliefs even if they do not believe in them. It’s your decision to give them a card and their decision to chose to open it or throw it away. Just do what you want and let them do what they want. 🙂

If you know that Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t celebrate or participate in any way with Valentine’s Day and you try and give them a card for it anyway…….yes, that would be rude.
By the way, we do NOT celebrate Valentine’s Day. So now you know not to do anything like that.

Jw’s do not celebrate Holidays Or Birthdays.
