There is no maximum or minimum. If varies from child to child. My first son was born with plenty of hair. My second son was bald for 2 years. Eventually, the caught up with each other hair-wise.

Well, all of my babies were born with hair and they never lost it. It took my preemie longer to grow his hair out, but he always had some. His really took off at about 1 1/2 adjusted age.

My first daughter was bald until she was two and a few months after that she began to slowly get some fuzz which turned into a thick, nice head of hair soon after that. For her first two years she was litterally bald… completely.
