What are the steps of marriage in Florida if pregnant, 16 years old and without parental consent?

I’m 16, 17 in 6 days, how would I go about getting married in the state of Florida, where we live. It IS legal and you Don’t need parental consent but HOW would I go about doing it? What are the steps? Is there a web site that could explain everything?

if it is legal then there is no big deal. that mean that you don’t have to go through all of the bull shit like getting emancipated from ur parents and stuff. but “if ” it is legal which may be true because people do become adults at 17 in the south, all you and ur partner have to do is go down to the local courthouse you might need a little bit of money to pay for a marriage license but that is about it. just go to ur local courthouse and check it out.

You need to go to the court house nearest to you and ask for a marriage license. They’re not that expensive. I don’t know what the price in Florida is, but in Nebraska they’re only 20 dollars. 15 for the actual license and 5 dollars for the fee. Very cheap. You can have a court wedding actually. You don’t need guests, dresses, cake, reception or anything. You need a religious dude, and a witness.

This is what my fiance and I are doing; we’re gonna have a court wedding first, (cheaper that way) and then when we can afford it, we’re gonna have a formal wedding. Ya know, with the dress, the guests, cake, reception, honeymoon, the works.

So… that’s all you really have to do. First step is to go to the court house though and ask about their marriage licenses.
