I want to draw a picture as a valentines gift for a special girl.?

I’m an artist, and I’m planning on drawing something for a girl on valentines day. The thing is, we don’t know eachother all so well, and I dont know what to draw her. Any ideas? I was thinking of a picture of her, or roses. Well any ideas would be appreciated.

    Do a Valentine’s-themed still life: a heart shaped box of candy, a vase of flowers, etc on a pretty tablecloth, all in reds and pinks.

    Hmm.. maybe you could draw a side-portrait of her, maybe holding some roses. If you want to go a little more modest but still show off talent, you could draw a close-up on a bouquet of flowers.
    Find out her favorite color palettes or something, and color the flowers with that.
    I really like to draw myself -^^- (i’m an anime person though hehe), but maybe put a meaningful message or quote with calligraphy pen. Just giving ideas as I go. 😀
    Good luck! I know she’ll appreciate anything you draw her. Meanwhile, while you have time until V-day, get to know her more so you can break the ice more, maybe. 🙂 Hope I helped a little bit ^^;

    I am an artist and you should ask yourself how you feel about your portrait being done by someone before drawing one of someone that is close to you, or that you would like to get close to.

    I think especially since you do not have a close relationship with this person you should think very hard before attempting any kind of portrait of them.

    My advice is to find something neutral, but still pertaining to the theme of the Day. If you have any knowledge of her likes and hobbies that would be a good place to start.

    Write down what you know about her. And then write down what her likes are, or what you think they are and you will eventually come up with an inspiration.

    Not knowing her very well, I would suggest that you keep it light and simplistic, maybe even humorous to a degree. People like humor, more than seriousness, for the most part.

    If humor is something that you can not do, then stick with romantic moments, scenes, or a commonly perceived image of Valentine’s.

    If you need help in Valentine imagery I suggest going on the internet and searching for related content until you find something that inspires you.

    If you can’t decide then go to a free card resource and utilize their artwork or download a free card.
