Life will be easier for everyone if you can get your baby used to taking cold bottles on the go. If you start young with this practice it will stick. Sometimes you just can’t safely warm a bottle and standing around at a bathroom sink for 10 min with the hot water running isn’t a great solution.

Mommy’s milk tastes just fine cold 🙂 Baby will still love it.

Most places here in Australia have a parents room with a microwave.

I have a car bottle warmer, but it takes FOREVER to heat up. I either suppliment with formula when out or just pack freshly pumped milk. If your only going to be gone a short time, you can put freshly pumped for an hour or so in your diaper bag. I know people advise against this, but on road trips I have been known to heat cold milk in a gas station or hotel microwave. If you do that be sure to stir it and don’t overheat it.

I usually just leave it at room temp. if I know I am going to use it within a few hours.

Bottles are really unnecessary. Just try to get used to breastfeeding in public, it’s really not that bad! I started off nursing in a sling, now at almost 7 months, we nurse where ever we are. No bottles, no slings, no covers, no problem!

most parenting rooms have microwaves these days. if you can’t find one ask a food outlet for a cup of hot water and put the bottle in it. kfc staff are always accomodating! there is also a thing you can get that you put the bottle in and it heats it but right now i can not think of what its called!

If you are in canada most malls have baby rooms where you can just nurse the baby. My own experience was that I was comfortable nursing in public, so when ever the need arose I would just find a place to sit and of course cover up then feed the baby. I still do so because my twins are 7months. Congratulations on the arrival of baby.

I have a Safety 1st car bottle warmer that is awesome. However, if I am out in a restaurant or at a mall I ask for half a cup of hot water and then I just set the bottle in the water for a minute or two until it’s heated. You can also breastfeed if you have a nursing cover – I have one but find it easier to just give her a bottle.

Well most babies can tolerate a cool or cold bottle. But you could also do what I did sometimes. If I was at a restaurant I would as for a cup of hot water. And then just set the hot water in the cup for a minute or so.

And if you are shopping at the mall or out somewhere else, just go to the food court or a fast food place and as for hot water there as well. Most places will not charge for it.

First of all, never heat milk in a microwave. Microwaves heat unevenly and can cause burns to your child. You can Microwave a cup of water and place the bottle of milk inside the cup to warm it, but do not put the bottle in the microwave.

at room temperature (66-78°F, 19-26°C) for 4 hours (ideal), up to 6 hours (acceptable) (Some sources use 8 hours)
in a refrigerator (<39°F, <4°C) for 72 hours; up to 8 days (acceptable)
in a freezer (-0.4 to -4°F, -18 to -20°C) for 6 months (ideal) up to 12 months (acceptable)

You can give her your breast in public if you feel comfortable just cover up a bit and you'll be fine. I usually pump and bring it in my mini milk cooler with an ice pack and then stop by any store or restaurant and ask for half a cup with hot water. Let it sit for a few min and its good to go (test it on your wrist 1st).

get baby used to cold milk or rather room temperature. is the best and safest way to go. my baby is 8 weeks now and i never warm anything for her. Its alot easier when i go out in public. I only warmed her milk the first 3-4 weeks then now she’s fine with colds
