I know you don’t want to hear this (because I know I didn’t), but it is better to just move on. If it didn’t work out the first time, it probably wasn’t meant to be and there is someone better out there for you.

call him or txt him, ask him if the 2 of you can meet in person, or just talk on the phone. Tell him how you are feeling and whatever happened between you guys, if it was your fault or whatever, tell him how sorry you are and ask for another chance.
I truly believe in everyone deserves a second chance. So just talk to him and see where things lead. If he shows no interest in talking to you and doesn’t want to talk to you just let it go, don’t force him because it will be better if you just let things go and move on.

I agree with Mel, it is best to let him go and go on with your life. Sometimes it is really hard to go on and try to get over him. There is no future there. He is an ex for a reason. I know you are lonely and miss him but you need to move on with your life.
