for the people who are single and have no date planned, how do you plan to spend valentines day?

considering how many couples are going to be overly demonstrative on feb 14th, (and since most of my friends have someone where as i am single still, so kicking it with them is kinda out of the question) i’m just wondering how everyone else is planning on spending valentines day. heck, it’d be nice to do something other than what i’m planning and i’d like to get some suggestions from others here on answers.

When I was totally single on V-day (which was basically the last 5 years besides this year) I would also go out with my best guy friend…we’d do dinner dutch, bowling, movie, whatever else. Always a good time with no expectations! This year, I’m on the verge of becoming engaged and I have to work all day and be in class until 8 that night…blah!

Well, considering the fact I’ve been single most of my life, probably the same thing I’ve been doing for the past years….eating the chocolates. LOL.

Well, if you are single and have no plans; how about thinking of other singles as well?
Do you have parents, grandparents, loved ones, neighbors who are also alone? I’ll bet that you know of someone who would appreciate a friendly call or visit. And think of how much better you will feel knowing that you brought happiness to someone else.
    🙂

If just completely ignoring such a commercialized “holiday” is out of the question for you, treat yourself to a movie, day spa treatment, etc.

And be thankful you’re NOT getting hideous heart shaped boxes full of candy that you’ll eat and later feel guilty for eating. lol

I’ll be spending the day with my 8 year old son. I do choose to ignore Valentine’s Day.
