When will I start to enjoy being pregnant?

I am 6.5 weeks pregnant and feeling horrible. Daily hormonal migraine headaches, nausea/vomiting, back aches, pains/discomfort in my stomach and I am completely exhausted.. I just want the headaches and fatigue to subside. I have been taking my prenatal vitamins everyday. When will I start to enjoy being pregnant?

you might be like this throughout your entire pregnancy. but it should pass after the first trimester.

maybe when you have your first ultrasound or feel the baby kick you will start to enjoy it more. =]

i hate to tell you this, but for me it lasted my entire pregnancy…it was awful! but, if this helps, my son is four months old and i am looking forward to getting pregnant as soon as possible – it is the most wonderful thing to be a mom, and the horrible pregnancy is so worth the wonderful outcome! i hope it gets better for you, but be prepared that it may not. stay hydrated! it’s the best thing you can do for youself! good luck!

I don’t know that you will ever “enjoy” it, but you will learn to cope with those side effects. By about the 15th week, the nausea & headaches should become less bothersome. Some women experience more energy by this time, but a lot of women stay sleepy their whole pregnancy! Just embrace it.

I didn’t enjoy it until my ultrasound. 🙂 I was just sick before. I hadn’t ‘realized’ what being pregnant meant. (Obviously I knew, it just hadn’t hit me)

Give it time, it will come at some point, for a reason. 🙂

hunny I’m 4 months pregnant and I’m not even showing. I still get sick in the mornings, and I’m still pale as hell. I’d have to say I probably wont start really “enjoying” this until I start showing. I mean you wouldn’t even think I was 4 months pregnant lol. but yeah don’t worry things will get better lol I started getting sick a 7 weeks. and mine still hasn’t gone away. after 3 months for MOST women the morning sickness goes away, but mines like.. kind of still here. it sneaks up on me during the day. I still have head aches like crazy, and hunny the back pain is just begining it’ll get hella worse the farther along you get. pains, well. I get them in my abdomen a lot and it’s cause I have a baby in there but my boobs still hurt.

but yeah get ready cause everything gets worse before it gets better.. well in this situation it doesn’t really get better until your baby comes out 🙂

    good luck!

I’m 10wks and have had no morning sickness…I just recently started getting headaches and i’m always tired. It’s all pretty normal. I don’t think i’ll start enjoying it until i’m 14-15 weeks when I know i’m out of the scarey miscarriage zone!

I was sick the entire 9 months–every day, several times a day–I fell asleep everywhere. I didn’t enjoy my pregnancy until it was over.

I am 8 weeks prego now and have a 7 yr old. with my oldest I was miserable like that up until my 12th week. Thats when all my symptoms subsided. You usually dont feel good till the end of your first trimester, which is 12 weeks.

I felt the same way, i had alllll the pregnancy symptoms at once. I was miserable all the time and depressed about it. but thats only the first trimester. It should all go away at about youre 13th week. just think, 6.5 more weeks to go and you ll start enjoying your pregnancy.

Sometime in the late first trimester or in the second trimester…

I remember the all day nausea was killing me, along with the fatigue… I actually screamed one night while alone “Get this thing out of me”… But it got better, and I have loved every minute of carrying my little Angelynn since I was about 18 weeks… It got even more exciting as my bump starting becoming noticable to other around me (around 22 weeks)… Now at 29 (almost 30 weeks) I am trilled to be having a little girl soon…

Hang in there… The worst of it is in the beginning, and its a cakewalk through your second trimester… I am now starting to experience some of the 3rd tirmester discomforts of swollen feet, achy back, difficulty sleeping, etc, but it doesn’t bother me nearly as much as those first 14 weeks…
