When did you start setting up the nursery?
I’m 27 weeks pregnant and wondering if I should start the nursery this early. I’m worried about being too tired or going into labor early and not getting it done, but my husband wants to wait another month to start. When did you start/finish your nursery?

I didn’t set up my sons room until he was born. I just felt there was too much of a chance that something bad could happen (I have seizures) so I didn’t want to have him room get all gussied up if there might have been any trouble.

I’m in my first trimester so I haven’t begun yet, but I believe towards the end of my second I probably will. You begin when it feels right to you. It’s an experience and you should do what makes you happy and at the time you feel best. Good luck and congrats!

I can’t remember when I started, but everything was set up and ready to go by 36 weeks or so. I didn’t want to take any chances in case I were to have the baby early. Plus, it gave me something to do. It’s easy to get impatient in those last few weeks, just waiting for the baby to come, so being able to decorate and shop was fun for me. Also, I’m a very organized person and like to stay ahead of schedule with everything that I do, so it wasn’t a shock that everything was ready in advance.

I’m 20 weeks right now, and I already have a lot of the nursery done. I started a couple weeks ago. I am buying the furniture piece by piece, and when I get them in I am so excited to get them set up! I have had problems with blood pressure, so I am a little worried about bedrest later and things like that. I started as soon as I found out I was having a boy. I have a long way to go before I am finished, but I hope to have it wrapped up by the time I am around 30 weeks, so I can then relax and not worry about it.

I am 32 weeks and we just started. We already bought the crib, we just finished painting the room. I want to get the carpet cleaned before we start putting the crib together, then I want to start putting up all the little details. I say you are at a perfect time to start. You can start little by little and start buying things, that way you don’t have to spend a lot of money at one time.
