   A card that whistled at me from my husband. He’s not a romantic kind of guy and it was a complete, lovely surprise!

   Hard to beat a brand new car, but MY favorite was a sunrise champagne flight in a hot air balloon. Followed by a mad rush to the airport for a flight to Key West for the week. All a TOTAL suprise.
   (good thing I am/was self employed so taking a week off was a non issue!)

   My eldest daughter.She was born on Valentines day.She was born healthy,had all her fingers and toes.So she has been my most precious gift I have gotten on a Valentines day.

   I have always had mixed feelings about Valentines Day. It has become too commercialised and pressures people to spend money to show people that they love them. However, despite this, I do like to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

   For Valentine’s Day, my husband donated flowers to an aged care facility on my behalf. All widowed ladies received a single flower.

    When I was in college, my freshman year I had just broken up with someone. My best guy friend knew that Valentine’s Day was going to be tough, so he left a tiny stuffed leopard holding a chocolate rose in front of my door with a note that said “Hang in there, ‘cuz I love you!”
