What is the latest a healthy baby will start walking?

My daughter is 13 months old and not walking. I know she’s capable of it, but she just refuses to try.

Is it a bad sign if your baby does everything late? She didn’t roll over until 6.5 months, didn’t crawl until 10.5 months. She takes her sweet time for everything.

yes its normal, just let her do it in her own time. if you get too worried then speak to your health visitor but ive known lots of babies to walk before they turn 1 and lots that have been as old as 16 months. shes fine xx

Don’t worry! My daughter didn’t crawl at all, and didn’t start walking until she was 14 months. Even then, that was her first steps and it was still about 3 weeks before she really started moving. Some don’t start until 18 months
Does your daughter get from one place to another in her own way? Mine scooted on her bum. Does she walk while holding onto furniture or some ones hand(s)?
I like to say my daughter was concentrating on her mental development as opposed to her physical development lol

My daughter started walking at 13 months, but pediatricians don’t worry about the babies not walking until they’re 18 months. My daughter was born 4 weeks early and it took her a little longer to reach her milestones. She was 5 months when she rolled over, I think she was around 6 1/2 months when she sat up by herself, and round 10 months when she started crawling. So don’t worry about it, your baby will walk when she’s ready. Do you have something she could push around the house to help her walk? We got one of those push and go Lions from Walmart for her birthday and it didn’t take long for her to be brave and walk away from it. After she got it, she was walking within 2 weeks.

As a new mother, I completely understand your concern! It’s always hard not to compare your child to other children, or to the guidelines given on when children often meet certain developmental milestones. However (even though this is easier said then done) it is truly important to not spend too much time focused on those things. If you are keeping up with your daughters check ups, etc, and she seems happy and healthy, then just take a step back, breathe, and enjoy her rather than worrying about the different milestones. If you just can’t get it off your mind, then it wouldn’t hurt to make an appointment with her doctor and just ask him to check her out and let you know if there is any reason to be concerned.
