What can I wear to a casual Sweet 16 birthday party in the winter?
I was just invited to a Sweet 16 for my cousin (by marriage, almost) and it’s going to be in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I don’t know what to wear. It’s too cold to wear a dress and I don’t want to under-dress by wearing jeans. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I know this is in the wrong section but you have all helped me out in the past with my wedding planning. 🙂

Don’t know where you are right now, but it is below zero here in the South Eastern part of New England and the though of wearing anything but pants is unthinkable, so I agree with you about not wanting to wear a dress.
If you have a pair of tall boots, consider wearing them tucked into some skinny pants with a nice long comfy sweater. Dress it up with a scarf or a long necklace and a few bangle bracelets. Otherwise, I would wear a pair of black slacks and a sweater, again, with accessories or one of those vests that are so fashionable right now.
