North Korea is held in such a way, because of the suppression of information on democracy, equal rights and the general dictation of knowledge and education.

In other words, they are born in a regime that is destroying free will, free thinking and which information is processed before given to them. They are out of touch with the rest of the world and the common person does not have such a thing as the internet. If they do, I bet its blocked all the way.

What I would do to end the war, while I don’t know how it can be done, is open the flood gates of knowledge to the people of North Korea without a pitch, without a communist slant. I’d give ’em the internet, make it available.

And then from watching uncensored information, whether it be Wikipedia, Failblog, Hulu, just whatever information & entertainement they will see that there are other viewpoints in the world and people outside the border are not necessarily all that bad. Cultures will blend, all the way down to such a thing as a spaghetti recipe. And the rigidity of spirits ad regime will topple eventually.

And the iron curtain will fall.

You don’t need tanks to stop a war.
A regime held by force will devour itself if you inject a bit of think into it. Force doesn’t like Think, that’s why its Force.
