Should I start putting together a new nursery?

Both the nuva ring and a prophylactic were used. One day late. Should we start planning? How long until menstruation should we wait before getting a test?

Wait until she’s at least a week or two late. Don’t freak out just yet.

i would wait a couple more days before you start peeing on every brand of pregnancy tests that are out there lol. dont plan anything yet, cause you dont want to get yourself worked up, and excited… and then get your period and be let down. just give it a little time before you take a test, cause there are lots of things that could alter your cycle: stress, your diet.. etc.

    good luck to you

If she’s one day late, you can start to test today!

No form of birth control is 100%, but you’d think two would greatly reduce the chances.

    Best of luck to you.

Between the 2 it’s highly unlikely she’s pregnant. With the nuvaring you don’t always start on the same day each month. It can easily vary a day or 2. And usually people don’t really start getting a nursery going until well into the pregnancy. If she’s one day late for her period you can go ahead and test. If negative test again in a few more days…still negative make an appt with a Dr for a blood test.

You can take a pregnancy test as soon as the first day of a missed period, but I don’t think it is time to start panicking quite yet…

I would definitely wait. Truth be told, you should wait until she is a few months pregnant. The reason that I say this is because the chance of miscarriage in the first trimester is kind of high. Many people don’t even tell people they are pregnant until they have passed that first trimester because once she passes that, you are more than likely going to have a baby unless other problems arise. Most miscarriages happen within the first 3 months, or first trimester. My advice to you would be to wait it out until you really know if she is or not.

I would wait another week to do a test, and then still wait till the blood test, and if everything works out, wait up untill 3 months to start planning anything. Relax, and don’t start going crazy already. I’m 12 weeks-3months and won’t start untill I find out if it is a girl or boy. Patients is good.
