Sending a valentine card to someone I don’t know?

Is it appropriate to send a Valentine card to someone I see quite regularly but don’t actually know, ie, a member of staff in a cafe I frequent. Just for fun really,as she will never guess who sent it. Or is it creepy, stalkerish and best avoided?

I used to work at a coffee shop and a customer did this once and I gotta be honest it gave me the creeps. I stopped talking to him after this. But maybe if she doesn’t know who sent it…Just keep it simple, and make sure it’s funny so you can just put a smile on her face and that will be that.

No, she will probably like the attention, and be wondering who sent it. Good luck hope it works out!:)

It really depends on her personality. If she is an uptight prude woman she might a little freaked out. If she’s fun and vivacious go for it! However, I think Valentine’s Day cards should be reserved to show someone that they are loved or cared about so if that’s not your point then you should avoid sending an anonymous card.

Is there a reason why you don’t want to let her know? Sometimes, if you really want to get to know someone, it’s best to hand it to them, so they know you are the one behind it. The anonymous note thing is a little high schoolish and shows that you really don’t want it to go anywhere — because it won’t. After you send it, you’ll be too shy to let her know that it was you. So I guess if you want to send it and don’t really want to get to know her, you can do it. If you really would be interested in her, be up front. Hand her a card, say Happy Valentine’s Day, and see what her reaction is. Really, what do you have to lose?
