Planned Parenthood and Birth Control?
Hi, I went to planned parenthood to get a pap test done in 10/7. At the time they asked if I wanted birthcontrol pills and I told them no. I would like to get on birth control now. Will I have to have another exam? Oh, and I am moving to another state, will they be able to transfer my records to the PPH near me?

You only need 1 pap test a year so you can get the birthcontrol until your next pap test is due. You can let PP know you are moving and which area you are moving and request your files be sent there, you sign a release of information and they will send it there or when you get moved you can go to your new local one and sign a release and they will request your medical files

You only need a test done once a year so no you can go back and ask for BC pills. All they will do is making you take a pregnancy test to make sure youre not already prego and if the test comes out negative, planned parenthood will then give you BC pills… i believe its $10 a pack if youre under 18 [at least thats how it is in FL.] Also when you move, just let the new Planned Parenthood that you will be going to where you moved from and they will contact the old office where you use to go for all the transfers. Easy as that!! I know cuz I used Planned Parenthood when I was a teen as well.. lol. Good Luck!!
