My girlfriend and I have been going out for 3 years. All of a sudden she wants to bail on me.?

She has recently received a job in the police academy, but everything else is the same. I was even considering asking her to marry me in the next five months… but now this. We never fought and always talked on the phone when we missed each other. Now she would rather ignore me. She says she doesn’t know what she wants, and that everything is changing. I don’t want to lose her but I feel as though a break-up is enevitable. What should I do?

I feel in the same position, although I’m the bailer. I find it difficult to be honest with my boyfriend about my feelings sometimes – and it will sound cliche but I really don’t want to hurt his feelings. I know that he’s happy in our relationship whereas I’m not (for various reasons) – it may have come out of the blue to you but be aware that she has probably thought a lot about ending it with you, especially knowing that you’ve been together for so long. I think you should listen to what she has to say, and if you love her fight for her.

If I was you I’d ask her if she has met someone else and to be open and honest about it. Tell her how you feel and how you had plans to marry her and ask her what changes are needed or if there’s anything else that you can do to save your relationship. In any case good luck!

    P.S Don’t give up!
