Trust me. At 21,you’re not old. I’m a 24 year old mother of two,and I don’t feel old. You can only feel “old” if that’s how you let yourself feel. There’s no reason you should be feeling “old” at 21. Don’t worry anything about doing anything to get pregnant until you get yourself in a stable relationship. “Age” is just a number, and “Old” is only how you feel. You’re only as old as you let yourself feel.

Honey, you’re 21. Are you out of college yet? If you’re not out of college, don’t have a good job and aren’t totally financially stable on your own, you should NOT plan to be a single mother. Don’t feel old, either. Women can have babies into their 40s. That means you have another 20 years to have babies. That means you are NOT old, either.

Bottom line is this: Yes, your biological clock is ticking, but you need to think about the life you can give your baby before CHOOSING to be a single mother.

You are too young to be a single mother. Children of single parents don’t do nearly as well academically or emotionally as children who are raised by a mother and a father. Usually the single parent is poor, or close to it, and can’t afford those things which can and do enrich a child’s life. The absence of a father has life long effects on a child and none of them are very good. It’s time to be mature and think solely of the welfare of the child. If you must have a child when single wait until you are in your late 20s which is a better age for both you AND your child.

You are not old. There is plenty of time to meet the love of your life, get married and have children. Hopefully in that order.

You aren’t old at all. The average age for having a baby is 25.

I know it might seem hard sometimes, but you’ve got PLENTY of time to get pregnant. Try and live your life a little first.
