How much does it cost to adopt a child in California?
My husband and I just got married a year ago. We don’t plan to have kids for a few years, but we both think adoption is a wonderful thing and would like to adopt a child in the future. Where should we go to look for a child to adopt? How long does the process usually take? I’ve heard it is expensive. Do you know, about how much does it cost?

It depends on a lot of factors- whether you want to adopt domestically or internationally, an older child or an infant, etc. The cost ranges from very cheap for foster care adoption to thousands of dollars for international adoption.
