    Hello.

I did this once and she still talks about it. (Of course this was over 15 years ago and her and I are no longer together, but still friends.)

Piece together a waiter’s uniform: shirt, tie, the ….. oh what in the hell do you call it – the thing they tie around their waste where they keep their ordering tablet, pen, extra towel, etc. You get the picture. Anyways, get this uniform together and call up a really good friend of yours, someone who is willing to act as a waiter for you (and doesn’t have a date for Valentine’s).

To avoid confusion, I’ll tell you what i did. I picked up my Valentine’s date and we hopped in the car. I told her we were going to have dinner that evening, but later on. It was a nice night out so I told her we’d stop by Mount Bennell (in Austin, TX). Austin is hill country and this is a park that is one of the highest points in Austin. You can see the little, neon glowing city below. We arrived, parked the car, and begin walking up the steps toward the park. It was a nice night … a tad bit windy, but still fine. We slowly walked around, her and I hand n hand, enjoying the stars till we came upon a table. The table was set up for two: white linen table cloth, two candles (that blew out), a bottle of wine, two glasses – the whole works! Same setup you’d find at a restaurant BUT WE’RE PRETTY MUCH OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! I asked her to sit as I noticed she was in awe. “Where did this come from?” She asked. I merely smiled, then called out “waiter.” A waiter mysteriously appeared from out of nowhere (he was hiding out of sight) and offered some champagne. (The waiter was a good friend of mine.) He poured our drinks then quickly vanished.

After a couple of glasses, he then appeared again with some food. I had previously ordered some Italian food for her and I. Steve set it up on some nice plates and delivered it. Then, quickly disappeared again. He only appeared one more time to deliver the dessert.

Her and I had a wonderful evening, with the help of a friend who acted as a waiter. And he was very professional about; Steve never goofed around, was very courteous, and was in and out like the wind.

Try that out. Trust me, it will work. Not sure where you’re located, but weather is a huge factor concerning the location you choose. Either way, just pick a place that is out of the ordinary or special to both you and her.

    Good Luck!!!!!!!
