There’s no need for you to make a card for your teachers. Friends are friends, it’s acceptable.
A teacher is there to teach a student and it’s broaching the student teacher relationship.

i think it’s better if you don’t. Other occasions like Christmas or even Halloween seems more appropriate to give a small gift to a teacher.

No! Not a good idea at all. They or other people may see it as something more than what you say it is.You know how fast rumours spread, particularly when they’re not true!
