After you stop nursing, how long is an average time to wait before you start your menstration cycle?

I seen, on another question/ answer, the typical time was about 4 weeks. I stopped when my baby was 3 months old. Now, my baby is 6 months old, and still no cycle. Is this normal?

I breastfed until my son was 12 months, and got my first period when he was 10 1/2 months. It will come back when your body is ready.

I’m not sure about this one. I nursed my son for 10 straight months and i never had a delay in my cycle. I wonder if it will happen this time.

    Please answer my question everyone.

I breastfed my son until he was 6 months, got my period the next month and got pregnant again one month after that. So, I menstruated 7 months postpartum and got pregnant 8 months. Good luck! Just telling you about the pregnancy bit because I thought it would be a lot longer than that!

It’s different for every woman. I nursed for 11 1/2 months and got my period back when my baby was 9 months old.
